About

Can I let you in on a little something? I am awful at writing About Me pages. Ick. I never seem to know what to say, so everything always seems to come out contrived or just plain weird. It's like seeing someone wave at you, so you smile and wave back, only to realize they were really waving at the person behind you. Awkward. Been there, done that more times than I care to admit. So if you're the slightest bit awkward too, welcome!!! I embrace you with open arms. You are safe here! And if you're not awkward at all, you're welcome too! But you'll have to let the rest of us in on your secrets to not being awkward.

Most days you can find me homeschooling my two older children and chasing our toddler around. As a family we love to bake cookies together, go on long bike rides, and play board games. We love God, and are active in our local church and other ministries.

As for me, I love tea, all things Nutella, have a weakness for pumpkin anything, and my favorite holiday is Thanksgiving. Reading gives me life, and my favorite time of night is after the kids are in bed and my husband and I can sneak off upstairs to chat about our days or to watch one of our Netflix addictions shows. I am extremely passionate about missions and helping the poverty stricken around the world. I've been on mission trips, my favorite being to Venezuela with my dad.
I thrive on learning new things, especially anything in the creative arena. I am an amateur photographer and aspiring novelist. I have had several devotional articles featured online.

Whew. So that wasn't a bad as I thought. Quite painless actually! Thanks for stopping by, and feel free to have a look around.

Take Joy!
